The focused monitoring team complies information during the district
on-site visit. Information is gathered from interviews with administrators,
staff, and parents, as well as record reviews. The team leader analyzes
the information and drafts a report to the PED Special Education
Office. A consultant at the PED reviews and finalizes the report,
which is then sent out to the district.
After receiving the report, if there are any findings of non-compliance, the district develops an improvement plan that must be approved by the SEB. The SEB then monitors
the improvement plan activities until the district comes into compliance.
