About the New Mexico High School Competency Exam

High School Graduation Assessment Timeline

The New Mexico High School Competency Examination (NMHSCE) is a set of tests constructed to assess student performance in six content domains defined by the New Mexico Content Standards and Benchmarks.

It supports the responsibility of New Mexico public schools to determine that students have attained adequate mastery of the New Mexico essential competencies.
